Haunted by intense nightmares and alleged hallucinations for his entire life, Yejun didn’t always understand the extent of his curse. All he could grasp from a very young age was that sleep wasn’t his friend and neither were the specters ghosting around in the unattended shadows of his eyes.On top of that little inconvenience, Yejun grew up with an overbearing, new money mother whose focus in life was to polish their status within the neighborhood and society. She demanded perfection, Yejun couldn’t offer it. Thanks to his work, Yejun’s father was absent for most of his childhood.Regular meltdowns in public led to the belief that Yejun was insane—not a bad guess, considering the constant voices and people’s stares were driving him towards madness. Though, people weren’t kind to a little rich kid who obviously showed signs of mental unwellness. Hence, rumors spread; rumors that his family didn’t exactly love.Yejun had to accept that no friend lasted forever, that your family’s love wasn't unconditional and that coming off as freakish protected your heart in the long run.Nothing lasted, unlike the spirits’ lingering presence.

Works as a forensic pathologist, gets sent home early regularly over alleged ‘yelling at corpses’. Might come off a little standoffish or scary at first, is just painfully bad at first impressions and tired. Loves playing the piano in the middle of the night, fencing and dancing. (Obviously) suffers from insomnia. Gossips to familiar ghosts about people he can’t stand. Has a habit of talking to himself, even when no spirits are around. Smells of cigarette smoke, lavender and candles off the clock, otherwise like sterile laboratory equipment. Likes horses but is insanely bad at riding them, cannot stand dogs but is a natural dog magnet.
